应理学院数学系邀请,美国New Mexico State University数学科学系的田健君(Jianjun Paul Tian)博士对我校进行为期一周的学术访问及合作研究。访问期间他将做三场学术报告,欢迎有兴趣的师生参加。

报告题目及内容如下:
1.Brain tumor growth with therapies
Abstract: I will describe some results we have obtained about tumor growth with different therapies. Particularly, I will talk about 2 worked PDE free boundary problems and several worked ODE problems. I will mention 6 proposed PDE/ODE problems and 2 research plans.
2. Stem cell regulation and tumor stem cell initiation
Abstract: I will talk about a worked ODE model for 2 stem cell competition by physical interaction, and a worked ODE system for GABA regulation of neural stem cells. I will mention 3 proposed PDE/ODE systems models for cell physical interactions and signal regulations. I will also mention research plans for neural stem cell migration, modeling of neural stem cell systems in songbirds, and intestinal stem cell systems.
3. Infectious disease spreading
Abstract: I will talk about some models we have worked on bird flu epidemiology and cholera epidemiology, and mention some research plan about Ebola disease.
专家简介:
田健君,1988-1999年先后在西北大学和中国科学院获理学学士和硕士学位;1999-2004年就读于美国加州大学(University of California)获博士学位;2004-2007在美国的数学生物研究所(Mathematical Biosciences Institute)做博士后;2007-2014在美国的威廉马丽大学(College of William and Mary)任助理教授,2014年至现在美国新墨西哥州立大学(New Mexico State University)任助理教授。田健君博士是北美地区的数学生物研究领域中的最活跃的年轻学者之一,在传染病和细胞再生等建模及模型的定性分析方面都做出了很有影响的工作。
