报告题目:Nonlinear diffusion in mathematical biology
报告摘要:Using mathematical models to study the evolution of populations is fundamental in ecology and biology, such as the prediction of long-term survival or extinction and the analysis of invasion processes. In particular, reaction-diffusion models are considered when the spatial structure of populations is thought to be important in describing population dynamics. In this talk, I will introduce my work on exploring the influence of nonlinear diffusion in population dynamics based on a discrete-continuum modelling framework. In particular, I will focus on the role of nonlinear diffusion in determining the long-term survival or extinction of bistable populations.
