刘鹏飞,英国纽卡斯尔大学船舶水动力学首席教授,船舶推进与再生能源实验室主任,英国国家级船舶设计与能效研究中心主任(获得2023-2027年由英国国家自然科学基金委员会和交通部联合资助的2130万英镑英国国家旗舰清洁海洋研究枢纽项目中六个国家级研究中心之一),美国船舶与轮机工程师学会(SNAME)会士,英国皇家造船师学会(RINA)会士,加拿大工程院(CAE)院士。ITTC AC 顾问委员会委员(2021-2024)。曾担任多家国际知名大学的船海工程客座教授/研究员与兼职教授,曾在多个国际学术专业团队担任要职。
报告简介:
Over 90% of everybody consumes today comes from maritime transportation, with a rate of 50-250% by 2050. Maritime shipping contributes 3% GHG emissions but the SOx emission from a 14k-TEU container ship is equivalent to 19 million cars. To reach the net zero target, over 35,000 existing ships must be retrofitted, and another 55,000 new ones must be built by 2050. This target can only be achieved by a joint effort of many sectors, of several different green fuel pathways, from well to wake. The urgencies, challenges, and the strategic measures to achieve this ardent goal, will be discussed. A £21.3 (¥2亿) project, the National UK Clean Maritime Research Hub to address the clean maritime issues for the net-zero target, was jointly funded by the UK EPSRC and DoT in Sept 2023. One of the 6 Centres of the HUB, “National Research Centre for Vessel Design and Efficiency” led by Professor Pengfei Liu, the speaker will be also briefly discussed.
